Generally, highly qualified persons seldom prefer to be devoted to social services. But Dr. AJOY Bhattacharya is not among those. Though he has achieved Doctorate in economics and gold medal in post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, he has served years in different social, educational, industrial organizations. His affinity towards education is well reflected in his activities as a Founder Director in National Institute of Professional Courses; which is a premier institute of fashion designing and textile designing with branches in Surat, Navsari and Vadodra.
   
  He had contributed a lot in various events like organizations of about dozens of fashion shows, awareness rally “I Love Surat” etc. He had been designated various key posts in different organizations like, Managing Committee member of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of garment Committee, Director of Channel Surat, Advisor of M.P. Natak Lok Kala Academy, Ujjain. He had justified al the posts he held by his knowledge and efforts.
   
  Inspire of limiting his activity to social and industrial fields, he had served as an Asst. Director in South Gujarat University also. In his period of secretary in The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, his active and successful efforts have given a new Airport to Surat City.
