CHANDRAKANTBHAI, born and brought up in Hanol, a very small and isolated village of Bhavanagar District, have understood the importance of education since his childhood. Though the family was not financially self sufficient, he managed his brothers and sisters do achieve education. The original profession of family was agriculture. In the past time, in villages the education facility was not available, so after primary education in village, he joined for higher education in Gujarat Vidhyapith and graduated with good score. the real tragic event in respect to his close tribal friend. His friend had lost his father and he was the only person who could shoulder the financial responsibility of the family being elder in all brothers. Chandrakantbhai helped him in every manner. But the incident had left so many questions in his mind, how to help so many people like his friends, living a painful lives in a very isolated tribal area of Gujarat. This incident was followed by a heavy famine in his home land Saurastra in year 1987, he decided to join the service of deserving people of tribal area in deeper Gujarat State. |

He started agriculture with lease land. After hard efforts and dedication, he was able to start his small business. The idea of serving tribal people was constantly hammering him, he eventually start a trust namely “Abhyuthan Gramvikas Mandal” in Dediapada. His unwearied efforts with good team work had given the trust an esteemed image in the sky of social services. The trust is engaged in various activities like, education, rehabilitation, employment, medicinal relief, agricultural training, and all round development of tribal people. |
